What makes me love cooking and baking? Family. It’s as simple as that. Family is where my best memories are, and many of those memories take place around a table or in the kitchen.

Although she would brush off the compliment, my grandma was an amazing cook and baker. She’s the one who taught me how to make pie crusts, pancakes, and chocolate chip cookies. Every weekend, my parents and I would be at my grandparents' house, sharing food, laughter, and love.

My mother and father are also fantastic cooks. My mom taught me how to make a delicious meatloaf, Thanksgiving dinner, and pumpkin pies. My dad showed me how to grill on a charcoal grill, poach an egg for eggs benedict, make cranberry sauce, and bake a ham.

Family is at the heart of my love for cooking and baking, and I hope that anyone who finds themselves around my table can feel the love.
